So You Think You Can Dance also has a good system. The judges pick the ones they think are worse and you vote for you you like on the bottom three.

If you look at Dial Idol predictions this week, you will see Chris S tied for last with Haley. They monitor the busy dial tone on calls to measure the demand. No one was voting for Chris S.

We have one bad singer each year and it takes about 4 - 6 weeks to get rid of them so Sanjaya will get his due soon. People who have boted for the booted contestants will start voting for some of the better ones and Sanjaya will go.

I think Sanjaya could go really far. Sure there is normally one really bad person each year who makes it to the top 5ish, but Sanjaya could go all the way, there are so many people behind him.

Sadly I'm becoming one of them, the producers put him in the top 24 and now they are screwed, they got waht they deserved.

and, if the producers were going to 'fabricate voting results' they would be getting rid of Sanjaya.

Chris ticked off Simon with the teletubbies and il Divo remark and I think the VFTW shout out was the last straw. True, he hadn't performed as well lately -- but I can think of at least 4 other people that should have gone before him.

AI LOVES to have the contestant that everyone thinks should be voted out but for some reason doesn't get booted. It encourages viewers to vote more which they can announce the totals on air as proof of the popularity of the AI juggernaut. Scandal generates press which generates viewers. If it were just a true talent contest, half the people in the top wouldn't be there. It isn't a singing contest -- it is a reality show. And I've no doubt that they manipulate the votes anyway they want to (especially when the field is still large and it would be hard to detect) in order to try to stack the deck for their favorites.

Personally, I hope Sanjaya wins at this point. It would serve AI right to be taken down with their own gimmick.

I really dislike Sanjaya. I don't think that he even should have made it in the top 100. He needs to leave or I am going to stop watching the show!

Chris really should have stayed. He was an awesome singer.

Yeah, that was my question. Why does any one think "Dave" is referring to that guy. There was a guy in the audience that had a "Bringing Chubby Back" sign, and I assumed it was a friend named Dave. Does anyone know?

I LOVED CHRIS. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD A UNIQUE VOICE. ONE I WOULD LISTEN TO WITHOUT GETTING A HEADACHE FROM ALL THE RUNS AND SCREAMS. REAL SMOOTH AND ENTERTAINING.

I was sorry to see Chris S. go, when there were at least 2 other contestants who could have gone.

What did Chris S. do before becoming an Idol contestant? Did he ever do any acting?

I was recently at a friends house and we watched the movie "Accepted", in which there was a character who looked exactly like Chris S. (same curly hair, glasses, and all). I wondered if I was looking at the same person, but I don't know.

If that wasn't Chris S. in the movie, it could have been his twin. If singing doesn't work out, maybe Chirs could go into acting.
